Why do you think this is such a need? 2. Write about a person you know that exemplifies humility. What characteristics do you notice in their behavior? 3. Old Testament Verse

To the humble the Lord shows favor.
Proverbs 3:34

New Testament Verse

A dispute also arose among them as to which one of them was to be regarded as the greatest. But Jesus said to them, "The kings of the gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors. But not so with you; rather, the greatest among you must become like the youngest and the leader like one who serves."
Luke 22:24-26

Prayer

Jesus, my master, please open my heart so humility can take root and grow. Forgive my foolish pride that desires status and praise from others. Help me seek only your approval. Thank you for favoring me with gifts of grace. Let the light of your love shine through me so I may serve others with devotion to your will. Amen.
