Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

Lord, you created this world as one of goodness and peace. Forgive me for the ways I have brought evil into the world around me. Teach me to turn from the allure of sin. As you endured suffering for the sake of my salvation, help me to endure insult and injury with a peaceful heart. Amen.
