The wooden sculpture depicts the strong arms of Joseph surrounding Mary and Jesus in an embrace of love. God so loved the world that He gave Joseph to be a loving support to Mary and Jesus. Even though he knew this was not his son, he endured whatever it required to stand with his wife in a gracious embrace. Who has stood with you like this? Where is God asking you to embrace someone with this kind of sacrificial love? Joseph’s obedient love changed the world. Yours will also.

Prayer

Thanks and praise to you, Lord Jesus! As God's favor is on you, you shine your favor on me. Because you were fully human you truly understand me. Because you are divine you have unlimited wisdom and abundant power. Grant me wisdom and strength. Make me an instrument of your love and favor. Amen.
