Obey God’s authority (Numbers 22:18; Acts 5:29)
Balaam answered them, "Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the Lord my God."

We must obey God rather than any human authority.
Acts 22:18 NIV
Loving God, thank you for your voice coming to me through your Word, other people, and nature. There are so many conflicting voices in this world. They distract and distress me. Open my ears daily to hear you say, "You are my beloved." These words are more precious to me than any silver or gold the world may offer. Amen.
