Jeff and Mim discuss the word “commit” and what it means to entrust or consign oneself into the care of another. Mim also reflects on the opportunity we have to approach God boldly with our requests, because it is a throne of grace. He loves us! There are times we all feel overwhelmed by life, but God knows us intimately and provides reals help in times of need. There is so much that we cannot control, but we can strive to be faithful in all circumstances.
Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.
Psalm 31:5
Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
Faithful God, I am humbled, yet privileged, to be approaching your throne of grace. My needs are overwhelming. I am unworthy, yet I feel welcomed into your presence. Right now, I bow before you, open my heart, and receive your grace and mercy. I am overflowing with gratitude for your love and acceptance of me. Amen.
