You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.

Renewer of life, I praise you as each new day dawns. I am grateful, that even as my body declines, your love renews me day by day. However, at times growing older is no picnic. As my abilities wane, give me a purpose for living. Help me be an encouragement to others who are aging and need hope. Amen.
