When Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36
Jesus, my strong shepherd, I rest peacefully in your fields. Thank you for feeding me with the sweetness of your word and the coolness of peaceful water. Seek me when I wander and lead me back into your fold. Give me compassion for people who long for peace and need the hope of your love. Amen.
