Today is a musical renewal for the Hoffland girls as they have come together in Wisconsin at Dave and Elsa’s home for a choral music festival. This kind of musical event is the kind of ministry that their parents, Kay and Dick Hoffland, created around the United States. Kay and Dick also contributed this kind of music ministry during the summers they served at Mount Carmel. The added blessing today is that the choral director for the event is Brad Holmes, the director who followed Dick at Millikin University. Today, through “live streaming” you can join the Hoffland girls, their husbands and friends along with about 90 other people who will be singing alleluias to the glory of God. Just know that someday the veil will be lifted and the alleluias we sing today will be shared by an eternal choir of saints in light, which include Kay and Dick. Join us to sing along through the streaming link. STREAMING…….you can livestream the event through these links: …..fmclive.faithfoxvalley.org (copy link into your browser)…..https://www.youtube.com/@FaithFoxValley/streams. (The hymn “For all the Saints” will be just one of the overwhelming musical and soulful moments that will bless you.)
He gives power to the faint and strengthens the powerless.
Isaiah 40:29
The Lord said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness."
2 Corinthians 12:9
Thanks be to God that strength and sufficiency has your grace as a base. Forgive my dependence on my independence. Make my journey a cross-shaped caring, not a self-seeking glory. May the grace and strength you provide come to me and through me to others, as in weakness we discover our common ground and strength in Jesus. Amen.
