Isaiah 64:4 tells us great news about our God, He loves to work for those who wait for Him. Our photo shows a waiting room. Not a happy place for most of us. But waiting is God’s will. So take this group of hikers. We were on a Camino together. When we wait for God as a community, the wait is part of the gift of our God who loves to work for us. Waiting is not lonely when our Lord’s joy shapes us together.
You will know that I am the Lord; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.
Isaiah 49:23
When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you will answer or what you are to say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that very hour what you ought to say.
Luke 12:11-12
I give thanks that it is knowing you, Lord, and not in my knowledge, that I have all the defense I need. Forgive my worry. Help me listen for the still, small voice and not the endless, anxious clamor. Deliver me from the anxiety that fills my mind, my time, and my sleep. May I rest in you. Amen.
