IRISHCAST Confession, Forgiveness and Cleansing (2 Sam 24v10_ 1 John 1v9)
David said to the LORD, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, O LORD, I pray you, take away the guilt of your servant."
2 Samuel 24:10
If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
Faithful Lord, thank you for being my only trusted source. I turn to you. Help me to remember that your grace is greater than my sin and guilt. Cleanse me and free me to be your servant. Get me unstuck from any guilt that holds onto me. Inspire me in Jesus' name to be livin' forgivin.' Amen.
