IRISHCAST The Joy of Cleansing (Ps 51v2_ Luke 15v7)
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Psalm 51:2
Jesus said, "There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."
Luke 15:7
Thank you, Lord, that I can be a reason for joy in heaven. I certainly qualify as the one who needs to repent. Wash me. Turn me around. Make me a source of joy in the community of the forgiven. Joy in Jesus, Amen.
