(Ski Cast) Remember Repent Eat (Ps 22:27; Matt 8:11) (Repentance)

A banquet with rich food is the image that we find in various places in the Bible, reflecting the heavenly community gathered in the new heavens and the new Earth. Jesus makes this promise in today’s reading. Who would want to miss out on such an incredible experience of feasting with people from all over creation. We all recognize how divided and separated we are at this time in our history. But the day will come when repentance will cover everyone of us, and we will turn from our evil ways and seek the one who is life, Jesus our Lord. And in His presence, there will be a banquet. Because God will swallow up death on that day.

Prayer

Lord God, you are in all times and places, yet you stoop to unfold my life one day at a time. Thank you for reaching into my normal world. You draw my heart to yours so that I can rest in your peace. Help me to trust your timing to live fully through every moment you give. Amen.
