All of us have felt the feelings these words describe. Today’s DAILY TEXTS give us assurance that God still has a purpose for us when the world, our flesh or the devil tells us we are disqualified. We also know that when we were baptized, God our Father made us a member of His royal family. We belong to God no matter how we feel. YouTube has a 7 minute video called “Baptism: the Sacrament of belonging” that will help us remember that our Father delights in us no matter how disqualified we may feel. It’s an old video, but its messages touches our soul. You should be able to watch it on this link. https://youtu.be/tkugGYFzLkQ?si=Fxuz3VASEC9zgY-K
I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish with you an everlasting covenant.
Ezekiel 16:60
He has made us qualified to be ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:6
Gracious and merciful God, I bow before you in thanksgiving for making me worthy to be in your presence and a minister of your new covenant. Forgive me when I fail, for I know it is you alone who makes me competent to be your servant. Keep me ever mindful to rely on you to love as you love. Amen.
