Good Friday creates good hearts (Ps 119:36; Philippians 2:8)
Turn my heart to your decrees, and not to selfish gain.

Jesus Christ humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross.
Philippians 2:8
Jesus, my Savior, today you overcame death by dying on the cross. This cross is the emblem on my forehead and often around my neck. It is a witness of my devotion to you for what you accomplished. Forgive me for ever taking this lightly. Today I will embrace your humility, take up my cross, and follow you. Amen.
