(Mission Cast) Follow Me Through Death To Life Isaiah 61:1 2 Luke 23:43)

This LENT we are providing a daily (Monday-Saturday) journaling opportunity. Our final Journaling Day, # 40, April 19 1. What is the "Lord’s Favor” and what is “Paradise?” 2. How do we follow Jesus through death to life? ("He is the way, the truth and the life” — John 14:6). 3. Today is the Day of Salvation (rescue)! What sin can you confess to Jesus, right here, right now, to be forgiven and free of its shame and guilt? 4. Action Step: Next time you take the sacrament of communion at the Lord’s table, practice a joyful smile when you return, reflecting on your new-found freedom in Christ!

Old Testament Verse

The Lord has sent me to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God.
Isaiah 61:1-2

New Testament Verse

He replied to the criminal, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."
Luke 23

Prayer

Faithful friend, your favor and grace nullify the vengeance meant for me. I have been spared. I repent of my sin and turn to you again today, proclaiming you as Lord and Savior. Now we all eagerly await the promise of our resurrection as we recall all the saving miracles you performed for your people. Amen.
