As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share.

Prayer

Lord, my God, you are generous and have made me rich in every way. I rejoice in all you have done. Forgive me for my selfishness and for setting my hope on other riches instead of yours. Make me generous with everything you give. Let me overflow in acts of goodness with someone you want me to bless. Amen.
