O Lord, you have plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
Isaiah 25:1
God destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will.
Ephesians 1:5
Father, draw me in step with you today. Help me to seek your care when I need it, trusting in your wisdom and plans for me. Pull me from my own desires and my stubborn will (and even more stubborn will nots!), long enough to remember with gratitude that you have claimed me as your child. Amen.
