Sorrow and Joy (Jeremiah 31:9; John 16:22)
With weeping they shall come, and with consolations I will lead them back, I will let them walk by brooks of water, in a straight path in which they shall not stumble; for I have become a father to Israel.
Jeremiah 31:9
You now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
John 16:22 NKJV
Heavenly Father, how I need you! When my heart is heavy with sorrow or shame, you renew my spirit. You hold my hand and lead me by healing waters. Guide me by your Spirit on a straight path so I do not stumble. My heart rejoices knowing that I will share your joy in heaven for all eternity. Amen.
