If we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires.
1 Timothy 6:8-9
Lord, your love is beyond our understanding. Yet it is real and tangible. However, greed clings to us in ways that are harmful not only to ourselves but to the people around us. Help us to turn from our sinful ways that we might become content with what we have and generous toward others. Amen.
