IRISHCAST Loving God (Deut 5v32_ Matt 22v37-39)
You must therefore be careful to do as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn to the right or to the left.
Deuteronomy 5:32
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Matthew 22:37-39
Holy One, you are perfect in love, the fulfillment of the law. I love you and long to respond in obedience. Yet I tend to get off track. I confess that I don't always love my neighbor as myself. Fill my heart with your light to guide me along the path of love and righteousness. Amen.
