Old Testament Verse

In days to come nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.
Isaiah 2:2, 4

New Testament Verse

The soldiers asked John, saying, "And what shall we do?" So he said to them, "Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages."
Luke 3:14 NKJV

Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank you for your glorious vision of a new day dawning. Your promise replaces the gruesome anguish of war with a life-giving portrait of peace. I confess that I justify violence or falseness when it serves me as a viable solution. Forgive me. Help me seek first your kingdom of justice for all. Amen.
