Today’s texts show us that we are remembered by our Heavenly Father. God knows us. God has placed His arms around us. We are chosen by God. We are precious to Him. Each of us needs to be assured that our hope is built on God alone who declares to each of us, “you are my precious child.” Trust God’s word for you. You are beloved. Today’s prayer journal has the text of the sermon, “Cry out to your Father,” that Pastor David Blackstad preached yesterday at Mount Carmel. Download it for yourself and share its message with someone you know who needs to hear about our Father who loves us so much, He has given Himself for us.
Thus says the Lord, "I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown."
Jeremiah 2:2
For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.
Hebrews 3:14
Jesus, thank you for inviting me to follow you. On this journey, you continually reveal your abundant love and grace. You open my eyes to the needs of others and encourage me to respond with mercy and compassion. When I fall short, I ask for your forgiveness. Teach me to partner with others in serving my neighbors. Amen.
