Martin Luther knows that faith is a living reality in us. He wrote these words in this picture in his “Preface to the Book of Romans.” St Paul calls Timothy’s faith a living faith and says that the faith of his mother and grandmother was alive in them also. Is faith a living reality for you? 250 years ago many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were men who had a living faith. When we are called by God, as we know Isaiah was in Saturday’s podcast, as well as Timothy and other followers of Jesus, a living faith is the WAY! As you listen today, you will learn the story of another man whose life is being played out in the World Cup matches. He knows the path to a living faith began with his grandmother and was born in him through many challenges along his life journey. You will unlikely ever be a goal scorer in a World Cup game, but you are someone in whom the Holy Spirit can create a living faith that will make the gifts God has created in you serve God’s purpose through you while you follow Jesus wherever He leads you.
