St Paul needed help to preach the mystery of the gospel wherever our Lord would lead him. So he asked the Ephesians to pray for him that he could do this work for Jesus. We are members of the body of Christ and one of our opportunities is to pray for the people we know who are proclaiming the gospel. Since you and I are also ambassadors for Christ, we also need one another to pray for us as we fulfill this calling to proclaim the gospel message. So let us pray. Make a list of people you know who are preaching Christ. Pray for them. Then add others. Members of your church. Anyone you know who is called to be an ambassador for Jesus. Just start praying. Add the members of the body of Christ in Gaza to your list. Pray for them. Download the prayer journal poem from one of our brothers that expresses his faith in Christ’s grace in the midst of the terrors of Gaza.
The Lord remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Psalm 136:23
Pray also for me, so that when I speak a message may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.
Ephesians 6:19-20
Gracious God, your unwavering presence guides me through every trial. Forgive my silence in sharing your boundless love like a hidden flame in the darkness. Grant me courage to proclaim your truth boldly, wielding the sword of your Spirit. May my voice echo through valleys and mountains, spreading your gospel of redemption. Amen.
