Corrie Ten Boom survived the Nazi concentration camps in WW 2 and spent the next 33 years of her life telling this message to millions. Her sister Bessie died in the camp and encouraged Corrie to bring her witness of how God works in our dark times. Jonah knew the same reality as Corrie. Anyone who has experienced the desolation of being in a pit so deep you cannot save yourself knows the power of being rescued and you can’t help but bring this message of hope to the world around you. Don’t be afraid of the pits that will come into your life because you follow Jesus. He is your Risen Savior who works all your pits for good.

Prayer

Life-giving Lord, you heal me. You redeem me. You love me. Thank you. I don't want to wait a single moment before getting up to do your will. Guide my words and my actions today. Help me to walk with the freedom and purpose that only you provide. My life is yours, Lord. Amen.
