O Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge on the day of trouble.

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair.
2 Corinthians 4:8
God, my refuge, I am grateful that you keep me safe in times of trouble. Forgive me when I lean on my own strength rather than trusting in you. Thank you for comforting me in my afflictions. You assure me that you are with me. Help me to rest in your love. Amen.
