Luke 24:27
Jesus, you never fail. You are God. You keep all your promises. I know the promise of peace over one hundred generations cannot be kept with human hands. Your hands keep the promise. Yet they were broken by a nail to secure our peace. Today, help me share the promise of your hands with someone who is broken. Amen.

Camino story As I was listening this morning, I remembered a time when we were walking to Rome, following the footsteps of Saint Francis. There were six of us and we had a guidebook and we could often discuss possible directional questions with one another. But one time a man voluntarily walked about a half a mile with us to show us the route that we needed to take to get out of town and stay on the path that would lead us to our next destination. When we were confused God sent us a helper. This is true in our walk of faith. We have the guidebook, the Bible. We have each other, the church. But we still need angels sent by God to help us. Look for God’s helper in your time of need.
