Lord, though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me.

As servants of God we have commended ourselves in every way: through great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities.
2 Corinthians 6:4
Father, there are times when I struggle to understand why suffering comes into my life. When I am afflicted, I am thankful knowing that your Son Jesus, who endured suffering, comes to help me in mine. Help me grow deeper during these difficult stretches of life. Show me how to extend compassion as your servant today. Amen.
