O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.

Gracious and merciful God, whatever you do is for my sake. Though I deserve your rebuke, discipline, and wrath, you are slow to anger and patient with me. You exchange my sin for your declaration of righteousness. Fill my mind and mouth with words of mercy for someone today. Amen.
