(Mission Cast) "Hope In Desolation" (Jeremiah 2:19; Luke 15:14 15)
Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the LORD your God and have no awe of me.
Jeremiah 2:19 NIV
When the younger son had spent everything, a severe famine took place throughout that region, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that region, who sent him to his fields to feed the pigs.
Luke 15:14-15
Lord, you provide me with everything I need. In my rebellion, I wander off, seeking my own fortune. Far from you, I become lost and afraid. Then, in my desolation, you surprise me. You come to me and clothe me with your righteousness. Thank you for renewing my life today. God of wanderers, keep me attentive to your voice. Amen.
