Jeff and Mim ground today’s mission cast in Isaiah’s declaration of God as the eternal, unrivaled King and Redeemer before turning to Psalm 68:5-6, which pictures this same sovereign God tenderly resettling orphans, widows, and prisoners into family and prosperity. We then move to 2 Corinthians 1:3, where Paul, writing amid deep affliction, blesses God as the "Father of mercies and God of all comfort" whose consolation is meant to overflow into others' lives.
