God has to create the heart in us that is capable of overflowing with thankfulness. King David knew this as he shared these words in Psalm 51. “Create in me a clean heart oh God.” God is the one who needs to do the work. God has to give us the new heart that is able to overflow with the love of God. In Jeremiah 24:7, God promises us that He will give us this heart. “I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.” Where is your heart today? Do you know what it means to have the heart given by God that overflows with blessings? “Ask and it shall be given to you,” Jesus says. Ask today. Jesus came into this world to give all of us a heart transplant so that we might love the worlds as Jesus has loved us. Let Jesus love the world through you.
In God we have boasted continually, and we will give thanks to your name forever.
Psalm 44:8

Lord God, you have worked in amazing ways in my life. Today, help me to remember what you have done for me. All thanks, praise, and song belong to you. Put music in my mind and heart and voice today. Give me an opportunity to boast to others about what you have done for me. Amen.
