MISSION CAST Prayer empowers missions (Ps 77:2; Matt 26:38-39)
In the day of my trouble I seek the LORD; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying.
Psalm 77:2
Jesus said to the disciples, "I am deeply grieved, even to death; remain here, and stay awake with me." And going a little farther, he threw himself on the ground and prayed.
Matthew 26:38-39
Lord, like your disciples I am drowsy and weighed down with many worries. Forgive me. Thank you for the gift of your prayers for me as I struggle with the weight of my sin. As you lift the burden of sin from my shoulders, help me to bear the load for my neighbors. May I live for others. Amen.
