Jeff and Mim discuss what it means to devise (scheme or plan) evil in your hearts against others, in contrast to planning and scheming to do good toward one’s neighbor. What if we spent most of our waking hours thinking about how to improve the welfare of those around us, including those who hate us. The world would be a different place. Please pray for us. We are in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, China to conduct an American-style Leadership and English Immersion Camp from August 3-16. We are working with Chinese Christians to conduct this camp together. It is a beautiful testimony, in and of itself of the Holy Spirit enables us to have a spirit of unity, sympathy, and love for one another with tender hearts and humble minds.
Do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.
Zechariah 7:10
Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
1 Peter 3:8
Lord Jesus, I love that you love me and lead me into real life. Open my eyes to see you in all those I meet today. Grant me grace to extend the same gentleness and patience you extend to me. Help me to accept those who struggle. Just as you accept me, so may I walk in your ways. Amen.
