Jeff and Mim explore worship as gratitude. The mercy and grace that we receive in Jesus Christ is turned into praise as we experience the love and presence of Christ himself. Worship is not dependent on our circumstances or problems solved. We can worship even during the storms of life, because worship focuses on Jesus, the Giver of Life, and His presence. He is Emmanuel, God with Us, and He will never leave or abandon us. Jeff and Mim also share personal stories of mercies received from strangers and the missional challenge to “pay it forward” to others.
O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!
Psalm 95:6
He prostrated himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan.
Luke 17:16
Lord, forgive me for forgetting your focus is on the fringes. I confess my faith is near-sighted. Too often I worship wearing blinders to your glory and forget your compassion. Help me build calluses on my knees and not my heart. Push me to the edges today so I may again see you in the outcast. Amen.
