(Sundaycast) Being Known By Our Good Shepherd (Psalm 79:13; John 10:14) (Shepherd’s Voice)

This mosaic depiction of Jesus our Good Shepherd is found in the tomb of the daughter of a 5th-century Roman emperor. Jesus’ staff takes the shape of a cross and he is surrounded by his flock of sheep. The cross shaped staff reveals the sacrifice Jesus makes for you and for me. He does this for us because we are known by Him and He wants us to be assured of what it means to be known by God. Curt Thompson wrote his book to help us understand what to be known by God is all about. His stories and teaching reveals how being known by God changes our feelings about ourselves and others. You can look up the word “known” to see how often this word is used to help us know ourselves as Jesus knows us.
