The Book of Kells is a beautifully illustrated manuscript of the Four Gospels. Their story is told in today’s podcast as a message to the people whose commitment to the written word has been carried throughout the centuries. This message is compared to the testimonies of modern Christians in Dublin who were present yesterday at a time when the healing word of modern believers could be received and shared by those of us whose lives were changed when one of us got sick. The ancient and the present witness, both needed to bring the faith to life.
Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Psalm 90:1-2
Jesus answered his disciples, "Have faith in God."
Mark 11:22
Everlasting Lord, before creation you were present. At the end, you will be there. You oversee the world from beginning to end-and you care even for me. I forget so often that you dwell with me constantly. Instead, I doubt. Forgive me. Dwell with me. Give me an opportunity today to lead someone into your everlasting presence. Amen.
