One of our highlights of this tour was enjoying the company of many friends in rural Belfast who listen regularly to the podcast. We enjoyed a meal together at Greenwell Street Presbyterian Church on Saturday evening where David and Cynthia also worship. Our tour group wore their Ground Up Grace shirts as a reminder to all these friends that we are members of the body of Christ listening to the voice of our Lord through the word and the the daily messages. We broke up into table groups of three or four people learning from each other what it means for us to listen to the voice of our Lord and follow Him. We will share some of their wonderful words in later podcasts. But the hymn we sang together, “All things bright and beautiful,” will be played on the Irishcast this Tuesday.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
Psalm 119:66
Have nothing to do with stupid and senseless controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.
2 Timothy 2:23
Lord God, help me to be like you, full of good judgment and knowledge, a lover of your commandments. Forgive me when I am stupid and senseless, stirring up controversies and quarrels. Show me how to listen to others and understand them. Give me wisdom for when to speak and how to act. Today, make me a peacemaker. Amen.
