God’s light in our darkness (Is 52:9; 1 John 2:8)
The Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.
Isaiah 52:9
The darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.
1 John 2:8
Lord, thank you for your light that illuminates my once-darkened world. When my heart is weighed down with cares and my mind is running away with worry, give me the comfort that only you can give. As a flower bends to seek out the sun, so turn me again to behold your Son, my Savior. Amen.
