Woe to him who piles up stolen goods and makes himself wealthy by extortion! How long must this go on?

Jesus said, "Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions."
Luke 12:15
Lord, I praise you for your love and concern when you caution me about hoarding and greed! I regret my insecurities and tendencies to depend upon "things" instead of relying upon you to satisfy my heart with your presence and peace. Release me from the urge to accumulate, and replace it with true contentment in you. Amen.
