The Lord has sent me to provide for those who mourn in Zion—to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit.
Isaiah 61:1, 3
The son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son." But the father said to his slaves, "Quickly, bring out a robe—the best one—and put it on him."
Luke 15:21-22
Risen Savior, the world I desired has left me in shambles. Feeling beaten, unworthy of your love, I return to you, longing for even the crumbs of forgiveness. Then you meet me, cover me with your robe of royal righteousness, and lavish me with love and mercy. Such generosity! I can't keep from singing thanks. Amen.
