MISSION CAST Bearing fruit in times of drought (Jer 17:7-8; Gal 5:22-23)
Those who trust in the LORD shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. In the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Galatians 5:22-23
Jesus, how satisfying it is to be planted and rooted in you. Forgive me for choosing to indulge the old nature instead of the new one you lovingly implanted within me. Your Spirit flowing through me gives me life and joy-I want more, Lord! May my life, words, and actions display you at work within me. Amen.
