“All Saints Day” sometimes makes us think of people whose behavior has made them so special we can’t imagine ever being like them. You may know people like this. We think about people like this in the history of Christianity. The problem with our thought process is that we are making them into something they could never have made themselves. They were made saints by God. They are evidence of God‘s good work transforming sinners into saints. You are also a part of that process of being made a saint by God. it may not be evident to you, but it certainly is evident to people who knew how awful you used to be and how much kinder you are now. So give thanks to your Father for any person you know whom He is changing. And know that the Spirit is also changing you. As it says in 2nd Corinthians 3:18, “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
I will heal their disloyalty; I will love them freely.
Hosea 14:4
And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
Matthew 6:13 NKJV
Forgiving Father, thank you for loving me completely and freely. I repent of my disloyal ways and ask for your guidance in my life. Look on me with favor and redeem me. Today, I remember my special loved ones in heaven with you, who have received their final deliverance. I am filled with peace and gratitude. Amen.
