Jesus is struck by me and for me(Isaiah 53:4; Hebrews 12:3)
Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we accounted him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:4
Consider him who endured such hostility against himself from sinners, so that you may not grow weary or lose heart.
Hebrews 12:3
Hidden God, you come to us sharing our brokenness. You want to be closer to us than our own breath. Open our eyes to recognize you clothed in our lost and erring humanity. You bore our hostility and you forgave us. Help us forgive the hostility in others through you, Christ crucified, until we offer up our final breath. Amen.
