“Jesus Only” Is Our Fear Calmer(Exodus 3:6; Matthew 17:7 8)

Today’s texts are two miracle stories of fear and faith. Both come from the presence of God. Moses has the burning bush. Peter, James and John experience the transfiguration of Jesus on a mountain. Fear is their initial response. What other response is possible? We become conscience of our separation from God (our sinful self) when He reveals Himself to us. What God gave to them is what we need. A word from God is what calms their fears. That same word from our Lord calms ours. Our podcasts are created to bring you the word from Jesus. It is our prayer that His word spoken through our podcasts will touch you where you are anxious and troubled. We pray that you will feel His touch and that you will see His face as His words speak to your soul. Pray for ears to hear and for eyes to see. Let Jesus only lift you again today.

Prayer

My Lord, I bow in humility and reverence. You are holy, and I am not. Thank you for reaching out to me. You touch my heart with the message of new life in you. Help me to look up, fix my eyes on you and follow where you lead. In your strength I will not be afraid of life's challenges. Amen.
