God speaks promises over Abraham and Sarah. God does not lie. They come true. A son is born to them. God speaks promises over Mary. God does not lie. They come true. Mary and Joseph go to Bethlehem. Their son, the Messiah, is born there as promised in Micah 5:2. We need to keep speaking God’s promises out loud when we face any time of uncertainty or doubt or fear. These feelings make us confused and in the dark. So we speak God’s word. His word is light and speaking God’s promises out loud will overcome any darkness that comes upon us.
The LORD came to Abram saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."
Genesis 15:1 NKJV
And thus Abraham, having patiently endured, obtained the promise.
Hebrews 6:15
Faithful God, you always keep your promises. You are my strength and my shield. Forgive me for my fear and doubt. Give me patience to endure times of waiting. You reward me with your presence and your peace as you work all things together for good. Thank you for your exceedingly great love and goodness. Amen.
