(Missioncast) Guided By Peace (Ezekiel 37:26; Rev 1:4)

Jeff and Mim discuss the word “peace” and its Hebrew counterpart “Shalom” as not only stillness and quietness of the soul, but a sense of well-being and wholeness, being in right relationship with self, others, creation, and God. They also discuss the word “covenant” as more than a contract but more like a binding promise of faithfulness. They recall their courting years when they asked each other to promise never to leave or forsake each other. Some promises can only be made with God’s grace and help, who supplies real spiritual resources to to forgive, love, and persevere.

Prayer

Author of peace, it is so easy to focus on the unrest in the world. For today, let me focus on you. Guide me in ways to live in unity and love for others. Let my words speak of peace. From everlasting to everlasting, thank you for this gift and for the peacemakers among us. Amen.
