Lord of hosts, thank you for arming me with love, mercy, and forgiveness. The world's loud voices stir up spite, malice, and ill-will. Help me overcome the world. When talk turns to spite, give me words of love. When ill-will escalates, give me words of mercy. When malice dominates, give me words of forgiveness. Lord, in your name alone. Amen.
