St Patrick’s Day is March 17. The Irishcast help us to understand how the message and ministry of Patrick is connected to the texts for today. You can also download the prayer journal to see the profession of faith which Patrick wrote out. It is called his breastplate since it expresses the faith that he would reveal to the world. A part of his breastplate message is in the photo for today.
See now that I, even I, am he; there is no god besides me. I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; and no one can deliver from my hand.
Deuteronomy 32:39
After Jesus had spoken these words, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, you have given your Son authority over all people, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him."
John 17:1-2
Mighty God, for years I feared your judgment against me. I knew secretly how deserving it would be when it finally arrived. But then the gospel delivered your judgment. What a shock! You became my sin. I became your perfection. Jesus, you delivered me from my despair. You are my life and peace forever. Praise your name! Amen.
