St Paul said, “when I am weak, I am strong.” (2 Cor 12:10). Revival always begins in a person or a community when we admit that we are weak and need the strength that only comes from God. Then we ask God to do what we can’t do and God gives us His strength in our weakness. The first step in any recovery for any kind of addiction is to admit that we are powerless. Today our prayer should be: “Lord lead me to someone like myself who is weak so that together we can pray for the strength that you, God, want to give your servants.” Jesus tells us to ask. So just do it. Ask!
Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant.
Psalm 86:16
Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
John 16:23
O Lord God, you help me stay connected with you. You fill our daily conversations with life and joy. I am sorry when I fail to take time with you. One thing I ask, Father, in your Son's name, is to give me the desire to be with you and to listen to your word. Thank you, Father. Amen.
